Matt has a new solo release out now on Friends In The World. Tangkuban Perahu is Matt’s 4th release, following his split 7” with Rabbit Island on Badminton Bandit (2011).
This new cdr sees Matt head down a grittier path. Recorded over a 3 month period in late 2010, Tangkuban Perahu takes it’s title from a large sulphur crater in East Java, Indonesia. This magnificent ancient volcano became a frequent source of inspiration and reference point throughout this period, amongst fatigue/loneliness/heart-break.
